As you may (or may not) know, I studied photography at Algonquin College from 2012-2014. It was the best decision I had ever made for my photography journey. I learned so much there.
In one my first of classes in the program, I went to classes and the professor told us we were going to play this “Ice-Breaker” game. It was where we each had an item that matched one other item in the class (that someone else had). We had to find the matching item, making it a pair, and then chat with said person.
Easy enough, right?
Why you ask?
Well, there was an odd number of students in the class …
and just my luck … I was the ONE person without a match … haha.
I let my prof know, and he told me to pick whichever group I wanted.
I looked around and immediately noticed one of the girls in the class … she was taller than a lot of the other girls and had the most beautiful long curly hair I had ever seen.
So, I went over and was hit with a wave of awkward silence.
I went up and started talking to them. One of the girls was obviously extremely nervous so she just listening (and wasn’t speaking a single word) but the tall girl with the beautiful lion mane of curls introduced herself as Vanessa, in the most bubbly and happy way.
And the rest is history …
Haha, well not really, but we have been very close friends ever since that day!
A little under two years ago, this beautiful friend of mine moved to the US to be with her loving pilot husband. I had been meaning to visit since she moved but you know how life can get … so in the late summer I decided enough was enough and I booked my flights.
So at the end of September, I took a little trip to Atlanta, Georgia to visit my dear friend, Vanessa, and meet their beautiful baby girl, Melodie
While I was visiting, Vanessa hired me to do a family session of her cute little family. Let’s just say I was SO excited for this. For one, Melodie is one of the cutest 6.5 month olds I’ve ever seen. You’ll see what I mean in a few seconds …
Also … Vanessa totally NAILED IT with her nursery. So beautiful!! She thought of every last detail!
