Their wedding day was perfect.
No, I’m serious. Everything was so perfect – especially the weather.
You may remember Jen & Anthony’s blossom engagement session from last year. Well, they got married on a beautiful June day. They had a thoughtful church ceremony, followed by photos at Hogs Back Park, and then an amazing reception held at the Sala San Marco in Ottawa. It was our longest wedding to date, but it was such a spectacular day that we almost didn’t notice how sore our feet/backs were after 13+ hours of shooting. I couldn’t have done it without my lovely second shooter/assistant, Angelika (THANK YOU).
I’m going to take you through the day – hope you enjoy!
First Stop: The Groom!
First, we headed over bright & early to the Groom’s parents house to photograph the guys getting ready. Man, did Anthony ever look dapper! So handsome! I hope the bow-tie trend never ends.
It’s so important to capture those special getting ready moments with the parents.
What a good looking group of guys! The best man totally reminds me of Thomas Rhett (Doppelgänger? I think so).
Second Stop: The Bride!
Then we headed over to the Bride’s parents house to photograph Jennifer & her girls. We got there just in time to capture Jennifer getting some makeup touch ups done!
And then I snuck upstairs to find her dress… it was beautiful.
Wedding days are filled with special moments between brides/grooms and their family members. Like this one with Jennifer’s mom.
How stunning is this bridal party? (Photographer’s dream)
Alright, now it’s time to get Jennifer in her stunning dress!
In my opinion, this backyard had perfect lighting for these photos. Let’s just say I could have stayed there much longer to take more, haha!
This little lady stole the show as flower girl. SO cute.
Last minute touches before heading to the ceremony!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate these florals? Wedecor – you are amazing!
Third Stop: The Ceremony!
Again with the florals, Wedecor! Perfection. (Insert heart-eyed emoji here).
Spot the teddy bear accompanying this little flower girl down the aisle!
Here comes the Bride!
How cute are these two? Smiling at each other during their ceremony. 🙂
That moment when it’s a little hard to get the ring on (it’s okay Anthony, happens a lot … happened at my wedding too).
You may now kiss your bride.
Next Up: Family Formals!
When I initially saw the list Jen had made for family photos, my jaw dropped. I had no idea her family was SO big. Luckily we found the perfect spot to do the photos. Right outside the church under a beautiful tree.
Next Up: Wedding Party @ Hogs Back Park!
This wedding party was so much fun to be around. Not only were the fun, but they’re all extremely photogenic (which is awesome for me).
Oh, hey Thomas Rhett. (Still don’t believe me? Look at these photos of Thomas Rhett and his family and tell me they aren’t twins!!)
Next Up: Bride & Groom Portraits!
Ahh, this is my favourite part. <3
Last Stop: The Reception!
I won’t share all of the images from this part of the night, but here are a few of my favourites from the evening!
We hope you enjoyed Jennifer & Anthony’s wedding as much as we did!
I grew up neighbours with Jennifer so being able to document her big day was extra special to me!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Conte!
Your wedding day was beautiful and we hope you enjoyed every minute of it. We also hope these photos will continue to remind you of the promises you made on this day for years to come. We wish you nothing but the best. <3
