Happy Monday Everyone!
Over the weekend, I met up with the Fitch family and did some fall family photos in my new favourite location.
Here’s a quick little background on how I know this wonderful family… My husband and I used to be neighbours with Ally and her husband, Matt, in Barrhaven. We met thanks to our puppies, Piper and Kona. The two pups became best friends instantly when they met outside our condos and have the most beautiful connection between two dogs that I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely adorable to see them together … they are pretty much obsessed with each other and have very similar personalities (Piper is a tad more crazy, but she’s also younger). Here’s a photo of the two pups for context:
Piper (left) is a 7 month old Boxador (Boxer/Lab mix) and Kona (right) is a 1.5 year old Chocolate Lab.
Anyways, Ally and I became really close while spending a lot of time together so our dogs could take out their energy on each other, rather than on us. It has been wonderful getting to know the Fitch family, and I am SO happy that I got to photograph them this past weekend! Here are some of my favourite photos from their fall family photoshoot!
Oh… and I should also mention that Kona’s facial expression in all of the images below is well-known in the doggy daycare community as “Mean Muggin’ Kona”. She’s actually one of the sweetest & happiest pups around, she just likes to appear very serious in pictures.
Little Miss Kona brought her Halloween costume! (Yes, she’s a mermaid and she hates it).
I personally think it’s always a good idea to bring your dogs to your sessions! 🙂
Have a wonderful day!
