“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times,
always with the same person.”
On Friday, June 29th, I had the honour of photographing the most amazing wedding. (Side Note: I’m sure you’ll recognize this stunning couple from their Jamaican beach engagement session).
This wedding was really special to me because these two are basically family to me. Courtney is my sister-in-law’s sister (so basically my sister). It was such an privilege to be part of their special day. It means so much to me that I was able to document this amazing day for them.
Not only was this wedding beautiful (and fun), but it was also my hottest wedding to date. Nothing like an outdoor wedding during a heatwave! I believe it ended up being around 32 degrees Celsius without the humidex (which made it close to 45 with it). It was insanely hot and humid but Courtney & Cody did not let the heat ruin their special day. Looking at them, you couldn’t even tell that it was really hot out (… I could tell though… since I was there… sweating). They almost seemed to not even notice because they were too wrapped up in their love for each other (as corny as that sounds).
The love and respect these two have for each other is so honest and genuine.
The way they look at each other makes you want to melt inside (… or was that the heat?).
They are truly meant to be.
So, without further ado… let’s go back to Friday, June 29th and relive the day, shall we?!
Part I: It’s all in the details.
Part II: Time to get dolled up.
Part III: First Look!
Just a quick bridal session while we wait for the Groom to arrive!
And the Groom arrives…
Part IV: The most stunning wedding party.
This photo was a personal request from all of the Groomsmen (and the Groom) to showcase how tight their pants were… haha!
Part V: Saying ‘I Do’.
I’m pretty sure that these were the most creative groomsmen that I’ve ever seen!
Did I mention that my brother was one of the groomsmen? It’s so fun when my own family is involved in the wedding I’m photographing. Here’s my bro:
I love when bride and grooms decide to change up traditions. Instead of your typical floral arrangements, the bridesmaids carried custom champagne flutes filled with Rosé.
And then the most gorgeous bride, ever.
When the groomsmen “lost” the rings … (they really put on a good show, haha).
You may now kiss your bride!
Part VI: Family.
Meet: The Grooms Family.
Meet: The Brides Family.
Part VII: The Newlyweds.
Part VIII: Time to Party!
When the Bride & Groom headed back to their table, they found out that their Wedding Party “iced” them…
They were really good sports about the prank…
Until this happened… (hahahaha)!
So, the Groom saved the day! (Yes, the Bride is saying “How do you do that?!”)
Just a couple of speeches before the official party started!
When your sister mocks your “awesome” dance moves during her speech… (amazing).
I don’t remember exactly what Courtney said during this part of her speech, but whatever it was, Cody’s reaction was hilarious.
Courtney & Cody… It was an absolutely honour and pleasure to photograph your wedding day.
Courtney, you were the most beautiful bride, ever.
Cody, you are SO perfect for Courtney and I’m so happy she found you.
Happy one week of being a married couple!
Hope you all enjoyed re-living this day through their photos!
