Back-to-back baby sessions up on the blog?
If you’ve been following my photography for awhile, I’m sure you’ve noticed that my style of newborn photography does not include any traditional posing.
There are some incredible traditional newborn photographers in the area that specialize in the posed newborn shots – and they’re amazing!
But it is not my style.
I practice “Baby Led Posing” … meaning that I do not put a baby in any unnatural poses. Babies are beautiful and perfect just the way they are naturally. I love the way they stretch and move, as if they’re exploring their new world. Sure, I will have a parent place the baby in a specific spot for lighting purposes, but I do not spend hours posing babies.
I personally think babies should be in their parents arms for the majority of the shoot. In my opinion, that is where they truly belong. They’re safe, comfortable and happy!
I love the calm, comfortable feel of a lifestyle newborn session. It is stress-free and you can relax in your own home!
(There is also the safety aspect of posing a newborn baby that I am just willing to risk the safety of any of my clients or their babies.)
You may recognize these new parents from their sweet fall family session back in 2017.
Back on May 2nd, 2018, The Fitch Family grew when Baby Amelia was born. Here is a collection of my favourites from their lifestyle newborn session!
Wasn’t that the sweetest session ever?
