I can't express how important it is to document all of the different monumental times in your life. From being pregnant with your baby... to those first few weeks after they are brought into this world, and then all of the changes they experience while growing up... those are the memories you want to freeze and keep forever. Don't miss out on documenting these times. You will never regret having these moments frozen in time with beautiful photographs.
I'm so glad you are here. While you're looking around to see if my style is the right fit, here's a little bit about me...
My name is Nicole (middle name is Kathleen - hence the NK). I'm married to my best friend, Alex and we have two dogs, Max & Piper. I gave birth to my first baby, Chase, on October 28, 2022. Our family is now officially complete!
My love affair with photography began when I was in elementary school and has only grown stronger since. I wake up everyday feeling so grateful to be able to do what I love as my full time job. It's the best feeling in the world!
I love creating beautiful photographs that families will cherish for the rest of their lives.
I met my husband, Alex, back in the summer of 2013. Two of our mutual friends introduced us while at the gym one day. Not long after that, we "matched" on Tinder and started talking.
I was in the middle of my post-secondary schooling and wasn't quite ready for the kind of relationship that would come with a guy like him. He spent the next several months proving to me that he was the one for me. He was persistent to say the least. We became "Facebook Official" on January 11, 2014, got engaged January 11, 2015, and then married on July 16, 2016.
We are still happily married, living in our dream home in Carleton Place and doing some DIY renovations as a team!
Now for the newest (& definitely biggest) additions to our family...
We had our sweet baby boy, Chase, on October 28, 2022. He is the perfect addition to our family and we could not be happier to have him in our lives. He is the sweetest little guy and we just love him so much!
Max is our 10 year old German Shepherd. He is the cuddliest 100+ lb fur ball who can perfectly mimic a siren with his adorable howl. Unfortunately he has only has enough room in his heart for a few lucky people (meaning he doesn't particularly like strangers, other dogs, the mailman, etc).
Shortly after getting married, Alex and I decided we wanted to add another fur baby to our family. We had hoped this would calm all of the "when are you going to procreate" questions we had been getting since our wedding. So, along came Piper.
Piper is, hands down, the sweetest dog in the world. She loves everyone and everything. She gives endless kisses and cuddles. She has quickly become my best friend.
To say I have a lot of schooling under my belt would be an understatement. Here's a quick overview...

2013 ~ Web Design Certificate @ Algonquin College

I have been a full-time self-employed photographer as of March 2019! It was the best decision I ever made!
When you work with me, you get everything without any hidden costs. All costs are explained upfront so you won't be surprised when it comes time to select your images! There are no in-person product sales meetings. You will receive an online gallery promptly after your session that includes images just for you, with the black and white copy (of every image) too!
I like simplicity when it comes to photography. In my camera bag, you’ll find two camera bodies and two lenses. I use the natural light available at the location and focus on the emotional connection between you and your loved ones. Don't worry, I promise I will give you direction so you look your best while avoiding overly posed images! You can sit back and trust me!
